Grand Pier heads this nine-runner Class 6 contest at Ffos Las on good ground narrowly ahead of Fast Steps and Revich on a private rating of 76, and over ten furlongs that advantage looks meaningful enough to see him home. Fast Steps and Revich, both rated 71, represent the chief dangers alongside The Anthony Gover on 70, so the principals are closely matched behind our selection, and any of those three could make life interesting if Grand Pier fails to fire. That said, the ratings edge combined with high confidence in his current form makes this a straightforward call. Grand Pier is the selection.
REVICH is a much more interesting price. Three of his last four starts have come over the wrong trip, his mark has come down another 2lb and he was staying on at the finish last time. Taryn Langley takes another 3lb off and there is only one confirmed front-runner, so if this becomes tactical he could get a nice enough set-up. At 10/1 he is definitely one I would rather have on side than leave.
VERDICT: REVICH 10/1
