ORANGE EMPEROR 7/2

QUICK QUASAR is the only confirmed front-runner, and he is not our selection, at a track where making the running is worth a little (front-runners win 2.0 times their share).

ORANGE EMPEROR at 7/2, James Fanshawe with Ashley Lewis taking off 3lb, just about gets the nod. He drops in grade after running 2nd in a Class 5, beaten 0.75L, drops to Class 6 and was not given a hard time of it last time.

The one worry is has never won.

ANGELS' SHARE rates higher on our figures but is passed over — won last time off 64 and runs off 68 — up 4lb.

The dangers are QUICK QUASAR at 9/1 (won with plenty in hand) and DARK MANDATE at 7/1 (went close off this mark).
