Cheltenham
SUNNY SOUTH WEST at 4/1, Edward F Power with Michael Kenneally taking off 3lb, is the one I want to be with. He won last time out.
He absolutely bolted up over two miles plus on the flat last time out, and at Galway he finished ahead of Willie Mullins' Daddy Long Legs, who has since destroyed a field by seven lengths on his chase debut. If he takes to his hurdles, he has more than enough ability to go very close.
The dangers are EAST INDIA EXPRESS at 6/1 (a course winner) and NORMAN FLETCHER at 17/2 (went close off this mark).
ICE JET at 4/1, Dan Skelton and Harry Skelton, is the one I want to be with. He won by 18L (~18lb), raised 15lb — 3lb in hand and comes from a yard in good heart at 27%.
I was really impressed with the way he went off in front and attacked his fences last time. He is a bold jumper who gets into a rhythm when he is allowed to get on with things, and if Harry Skelton can get the fractions right he could be difficult to catch.
The dangers are GLEN TO GLEN at 25/1 (went close off this mark) and BOWENSONFIRE at 11/10.
3 of these want to be on the pace, which usually means they go too quick and it falls to something coming from behind.
WONDERING WHY at 5/1, Ben Pauling with Elliott England taking off 8lb, is the one I want to be with. He won by 5L (~5lb), raised 2lb — 3lb in hand, should be suited by the ground and gets a trip he has won over.
The second and third from his handicap debut win have both come out and won since, and Elliott England's 8lb claim puts him in off an effective mark of 111, which is 4lb below the mark he won off last time.
The one worry is off the track a while.
The dangers are KAPITEIN KOOL at 6/1 (on a falling mark) and LORIKO at 9/1 (from a yard in form).
3 of these want to be on the pace, which usually means they go too quick and it falls to something coming from behind.
COOLTOBECARELESS at 7/4, Dan Skelton and Harry Skelton, is the one I want to be with. He won last time out and comes from a yard in good heart at 27%.
He demolished the field by thirteen lengths on his reappearance with plenty left in the tank and was never fully pushed out. He is straightforward, he jumps well, and he should come on again for that run.
The main danger is ETERNAL ANGEL at 14/1 (well handicapped).
5 of these want to be on the pace, which usually means they go too quick and it falls to something coming from behind.
SANS BRUIT at 9/1, Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden, is the one I want to be with. He races off a mark 9lb below the 139 it won from back in April 2025 and makes his first start since a wind operation.
This is a race-shape selection. There is not a great deal of obvious early pace here, and if Harry Cobden can get him out in front and control the fractions he could be very difficult to pass.
The one worry is weakened last time and long absence.
The dangers are TRAPRAIN LAW at 4/1 (went close off this mark) and IN THE AIR at 28/1 (went close off this mark).
MR HOLLYWOOD at 10/11, W. P. Mullins and Mr P W Mullins, is the one I want to be with. He has a telling booking — upgrade from a 16% rider to 30%.
He was beaten just two lengths by Illinois at Ascot, which is a serious level of flat ability to be bringing into this, and a recent run in France means fitness is not a question.
DATSTHEHOLYALLOFIT rates higher on our figures but is passed over — won its last two off 99 and runs off 113 — up 14lb.
The main danger is KINGSTONIAN at 5/2 (staying on last time).
FAIRLAWN SKIPPER at 4/1, Mickey Bowen and Mr Derek O'Connor, is the one I want to be with. He won last time out and has a telling booking — upgrade from a 5% rider to 13%.
He knuckled down when the pressure came last time and actually pulled away from the opposition towards the finish. The form has been franked by Limerick Leader winning since, and the step up in trip should bring out more.
The dangers are SNIPE at 18/1 (went close off this mark) and MY GIFT TO YOU at 25/1.
Doncaster
MIND THOSE STEPS at 9/2, Tim Easterby and David Allan, is the one I make it. He gets a trip he has won over.
The one worry is wrong side of the draw.
BULLETSNAP rates higher on our figures but is passed over — won last time off 78 and runs off 87 — up 9lb.
FINE INTERVIEW at 4/1, Hamad Al Jehani and James Doyle, is the one that stands out. He has won here 3 times, should be suited by the ground and gets a trip he has won over.
The risk is GOLDMOYNE, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 2.3 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The dangers are GOLDEN MIND at 12/1 (a course winner) and CITY CAPTAIN at 12/1 (went close off this mark).
Non-runners: Aramram.
REDEMPTION ROAD at 25/1, Michael Keady and Saffie Osborne, is the one I would side with. He should be suited by the ground, placed once from 2 on it and gets a trip he has won over.
The one worry is yard out of form.
EGOLI rates higher on our figures but is passed over on the ground — never run on soft or heavy in 11 starts — and today is heavy.
The dangers are INVICTUS GOLD at 11/2 (won with plenty in hand) and U SURE DO at 14/1.
A tricky one to unpick — most of these have barely been seen, so the stable and the booking matter more than the figures.
DESERT ROMANCE gets the vote at 11/8 for Charlie Appleby, ridden by William Buick. Charlie Appleby is running at 35% over the past fortnight, and William Buick is a 22% rider.
The dangers are FORTIS FORTUNA at 4/1 and SNOW CARNIVAL at 5/1.
A hard race to weigh up with most of these unexposed, so the yard and the booking count for more than the form book.
ZAJAL gets the vote at 6/1 for Charlie Appleby, ridden by Ryan Moore. Charlie Appleby is running at 35% over the past fortnight.
The dangers are ENTRUST at 5/4 and AGE OF REASON at 5/2.
ABERAMA GOLD at 14/1, David O'Meara and Mark Winn, is the one I would side with. He has already won round this track twice, handles the ground, with 3 wins from 6 on it and gets a trip he has won over.
The risk is RIKKI TIKI TAVI, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 2.3 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The dangers are CHARLIE MASON at 9/1 (a course winner) and WOVEN at 12/1 (a course winner).
ANGEL GABRIEL at 7/2, Ralph Beckett and Rossa Ryan, looks the one to be on. He drops in grade after running 3rd in a Class 3, beaten 1.5L, drops to Class 4, should be suited by the ground, placed twice from 2 on it and gets a trip he has won over.
The one worry is wrong side of the draw.
The dangers are LIPSINK at 8/1 (won last time) and ALMARADA PRINCE at 4/1 (went close off this mark).
KOKANEE at 7/1, Ed Dunlop and Rossa Ryan, just about gets the nod. He drops in grade after running 3rd in a Class 4, beaten 3.5L, drops to Class 5 and was staying on at the finish last time.
The dangers are GEO at 17/2 (went close off this mark) and COTSWOLD COTTAGE at 50/1 (went close off this mark).
Dundalk
ELEANOR SHELBY at 3/1, Joseph Patrick O'Brien and Dylan Browne McMonagle, is the one I would side with. He won last time out and has won here.
The dangers are FRIENDLY INVOICE at 28/1 (a course winner) and PURELY at 11/2 (went close off this mark).
FAOLADH is the only confirmed front-runner — and this is a track where that matters: front-runners here win 2.8 times their share of these races. An uncontested lead could be decisive.
FAOLADH at 7/1, A. Slattery with Adam Browne-Souza taking off 7lb, is the one I make it. He races off a mark 3lb below the 68 it won from in August and is back quickly, ran 5 days ago.
The one worry is unproven on the ground.
The dangers are BATTLE BORNE at 28/1 (a course winner) and BOSTON BENJAMIN at 6/1 (a course winner).
INISHMOT PRINCE at 14/1, T G McCourt and James Ryan, is the one I want to be on here. He races off a mark 5lb below the 62 it won from in January and has won here 10 times.
The risk is IMPERIAL DREAM, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 2.4 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The dangers are SOVEREIGN BANTER at 16/1 (a course winner) and BOSTON MAX at 3/1 (a course winner).
LAKE LUGANO at 9/4, Aidan O'Brien with Jack Cleary taking off 5lb, looks the pick of these. He comes from a yard in good heart at 20% and was placed on its only start on this ground.
The dangers are APRIL MIST at 13/2 and BELLE ISLAND at 50/1.
4 of these want to be on the pace, which usually means they go too quick and it falls to something coming from behind.
INSTITUTE at 50/1, Aidan O'Brien and Chris Hayes, is the one I want to be on here. He has had 3 of his last 4 starts on the wrong ground and trip, back to 5f today where he wins and his mark is 5lb lower for it and wears headgear for the first time.
The dangers are IPANEMA QUEEN at 13/2 (a course winner) and LIKEDBYMIKE at 33/1 (well handicapped).
A tricky one to unpick — most of these have barely been seen, so the stable and the booking matter more than the figures.
BEAUXVARUS gets the vote at 25/1 for Henry de Bromhead, ridden by Robbie Colgan. Henry de Bromhead is running at 19% over the past fortnight.
The dangers are ASTROWAY at 9/4 and BATTLE READY at 4/1.
SHAMROCK FLAME at 6/1, Robson De Aguiar and Donagh O'Connor, looks the most likely of these. He was staying on at the finish last time and is back quickly, ran 5 days ago.
The dangers are ASK ME AGAIN at 9/1 (went close off this mark) and TRUSTMORE at 4/1 (went close off this mark).
Newbury
LUCKY LUNA at no price yet, Richard Hannon with Toby Moore taking off 7lb, is the one I would side with. He has had his mark eased — 3 of the last 4 starts on the wrong ground, mark down 1lb and has the right side of the draw.
The risk is SAX AVOIDANCE, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 2.4 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The dangers are SAX AVOIDANCE at no price yet (went close off this mark) and PATAGONIA GIRL at no price yet (went close off this mark).
3 of these want to be on the pace, which usually means they go too quick and it falls to something coming from behind.
MISTER BLUEBIRD at no price yet, Heather Main with Toby Moore taking off 7lb, makes most appeal. He went close off this sort of rating, beaten 0.75L off 80 on 2 July 2025, should be suited by the ground, placed twice from 2 on it and gets a trip he has won over.
The one worry is weakened last time.
EGOLI rates higher on our figures but is passed over on the ground — never run on soft or heavy in 11 starts — and today is heavy.
The dangers are ANYASI at no price yet (went close off this mark) and MIRABEAU at no price yet (a course winner).
A tricky one to unpick — most of these have barely been seen, so the stable and the booking matter more than the figures.
I KNOW YOU BY NOW gets the vote at no price yet for Clive Cox, ridden by David Probert. Clive Cox is running at 19% over the past fortnight.
A hard race to weigh up with most of these unexposed, so the yard and the booking count for more than the form book.
MASAI LAND gets the vote at no price yet for William Haggas, ridden by Kaiya Fraser. William Haggas is running at 18% over the past fortnight.
BULLETIN at no price yet, Jonathan Portman and Rob Hornby, looks the pick of these. He ran a big race off much the same mark, beaten 0.5L off 84 on 18 April and has a telling booking — a rider who has won on it before returns.
The one worry is weakened last time.
LIGHTNING TIGER rates higher on our figures but is passed over — won last time off 73 and runs off 79 — up 6lb.
The dangers are RAULIN at no price yet (went close off this mark) and BESIEGED at no price yet (in first-time headgear).
CIRCUIT BREAKER at no price yet, Jonjo & A.J. O'Neill and Jake Dickson, is the bet, and this is the profile the whole thing is built around. He has had 2 of his last 4 starts on the wrong trip, back to 16f today where he wins and his mark is 6lb lower for it and was staying on at the finish last time.
The one worry is long time without a win.
SHAFFRON rates higher on our figures but is passed over — won last time off 59 and runs off 66 — up 7lb.
The dangers are AUTUMN'S BREEZE at no price yet (went close off this mark) and FAIR DINKUM at no price yet (went close off this mark).
Sligo
LOOK AT YOU at 9/1, John F O'Neill and Philip Byrnes, looks the one to be on. He was not given a hard time of it last time and has a telling booking — upgrade from a 4% rider to 11%.
The risk is CASHELDALE LASS, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 3.0 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The one worry is long absence.
PUPPET MASTER at 9/4, Ciaran Murphy with Eoghan Finegan taking off 5lb, just about gets the nod. He is back quickly, ran 3 days ago and has a telling booking — a rider who has won on it before returns.
The one worry is yard out of form.
SPEISIALTA rates higher on our figures but is passed over on the ground — 1 run on soft or heavy, never won, never placed — and today is heavy.
The dangers are FRIARY ROAD at 3/1 and COMBS at 7/2.
PRALOGNAN at 9/2, A. J. Martin and Daniel King, is the one I would be with. He wears headgear for the first time, should be suited by the ground and gets a trip he has won over.
BOWGATE STREET at 9/2, M Flannery and Philip Donovan, is the one I would be with. He is a twice-winner over this course, gets a trip he has won over and has a telling booking — a rider who has won on it before returns.
The dangers are FINNIANS ROW at 6/1 and HIGH HONOUR at 18/1 (a course winner).
GUNNERY SERGEANT at 10/3, Gordon Elliott with Mr T A Halford taking off 2lb, is the one I would side with. He should be suited by the ground, placed once from 2 on it.
The one worry is has never won.
BALDILOU rates higher on our figures but is passed over on the ground — never run on soft or heavy in 0 starts — and today is heavy.
YOU MAKE ME SMILE at 9/1, P A Fahy and Danny Mullins, gets the vote. He has a course win to his name and was staying on at the finish last time.
The risk is ANGELSWORKNOVRTIME, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 3.0 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The main danger is LARKINS LANE at 4/1 (a course winner).
A tricky race on paper with little between them on our figures.
UNION STATION makes most appeal at 9/4 for Gavin Cromwell, whose yard is running at 18%.
ITS TIME FOR A RUN heads the market but is passed over — never run on soft or heavy in 5 starts — and today is heavy.
The dangers are ITS TIME FOR A RUN at 6/4 and FUUSLAND at 4/1.
BOSTON RAJJ at 13/2, Ian O'Connor with Gearoid Brouder taking off 5lb, is the one I want to be with. He has had 4 of his last 4 starts on the wrong trip, back to 25½f today where he wins and his mark is 10lb lower for it and has won here.
The one worry is weakened last time.
The dangers are BROKEN ICE at 5/1 (well handicapped) and FIZZLE ROCK at 33/1 (a course winner).
Wolverhampton
SNAAFY at 22/1, David Loughnane and Rowan Scott, is the one that stands out. He races off a mark 3lb below the 61 it won from back in December 2025 and has already won around this track.
The risk is SANT ALESSIO, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 1.9 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The dangers are KING OF CHARM at 18/1 (a course winner) and ALESSIA FERNANDA at 40/1 (well handicapped).
UNION ISLAND at 18/1, Charlie Johnston and Sean Dylan Bowen, is the one that stands out. He races off a mark 2lb below the 63 it won off, handles the ground, with 3 wins from 19 on it and gets a trip he has won over.
The risk is BALOO'S BLUES, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 1.9 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The dangers are TYPEFACE at 5/1 (on a falling mark) and MR TONY at 11/1 (in first-time headgear).
Not much to go on here with these largely unexposed, so I am leaning on the yard and who is riding.
JAHAMI gets the vote at evn for Roger Varian, ridden by Sean Dylan Bowen. The market makes it favourite.
The dangers are WISHFUL THINKER at 5/2 and LADY PERDITA at 7/1.
TIME AND EFFORT at 16/1, Ivan Furtado and Tom Eaves, is the one I make it. He went close off this sort of rating, beaten 1.25L off 58 on 21 September and was staying on at the finish last time.
The risk is ARD AS A ROCK, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 2.0 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The dangers are FALAH GLORY at 16/1 (in first-time headgear) and STONEY WOOD at 7/4 (went close off this mark).
INTERVENTION at 10/3, Michael Appleby and Harry Davies, is the standout, and this is exactly the sort of race to find one. He races off a mark 21lb below the 82 it won from back in December 2025, is a 6 times-winner over this course and comes from a yard in good heart at 21%.
The risk is METHGAL, the only confirmed front-runner here — front-runners at this track win 2.0 times their share of these races, and an uncontested lead could be decisive.
The dangers are CAYMAN TAI at 7/2 (went close off this mark) and WAY TO DUBAI at 10/1 (well handicapped).
IT'S A LOVE THING at 7/1, Sam England and Jonny Peate, is the one — exactly the sort of race we are looking for. He races off a mark 14lb below the 71 it won from back in April 2025 and has won here 3 times.
The dangers are FREDDY ROBINSON at 8/1 (went close off this mark) and R P MCMURPHY at 6/1 (a course winner).
Non-runners: Chesneys Charm and Bergamo Gold.
ARCADIAN NIGHTS at 15/2, Mark Loughnane and Billy Loughnane, is the one I would be with. He has already won round this track 6 times and was staying on at the finish last time.
The dangers are CRISTO at 20/1 (went close off this mark) and RASTNET at 11/1 (a course winner).
Non-runners: Echalar.
CALL ME BETTY at 25/1, Michael Dods and Sean Kirrane, looks the pick of these. He has won here and wears headgear for the first time.
The dangers are HILLTOP at 4/1 (a course winner) and MAE AMOR at 12/1 (a course winner).
MOUNTBATTEN at 4/1, Sir Mark Prescott Bt and Luke Morris, is the one I would side with. He was only just denied off a similar mark, beaten 2.25L off 70 (2lb higher than today) on 9 August, was staying on at the finish last time and wears headgear for the first time.
The main danger is SAXOPHONIST at 5/4 (went close off this mark).

View Tips →Today’s racing tips are posted above from Dan Stanton and Bryan Rogers. Each has put forward their NAP of the day along with any supporting each-way picks they feel strongly about. Click through to any selection to read the full reasoning before you bet.
Tips go up every morning before the first race. Bookmark this page and check back daily.
What to Expect From Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Dan and Bryan post their NAPs independently of each other. That matters because you are getting two separate informed opinions on the day’s racing rather than a single consensus view. On days where both tipsters land on the same race or the same horse from a different angle, that convergence is worth paying attention to.
The each-way picks sit alongside the NAPs and are not afterthoughts. When a horse is recommended each-way it is because the price makes the place return a worthwhile bet in its own right, not because there is not enough confidence for a win bet. Some of the most profitable tips over the recorded history have been each-way selections at double-figure prices that hit the frame.
Today’s Racing
British racing runs every day of the year across turf, jumps and all-weather cards. On the biggest days, Dan and Bryan will cover multiple meetings and post more than two selections. On quieter midweek cards, there may be just the two NAPs. The number of tips posted reflects the quality of the opportunities on that day’s card, not a target to hit.
If today’s card includes a major meeting, a festival race or a significant handicap, there will be a dedicated preview on the relevant race page with deeper analysis beyond the tip itself.
The Track Record
Every tip posted on this site has been recorded since launch. No selections are removed, no losing bets are quietly dropped from the record. The running profit and loss for both Dan and Bryan is published in full on the Tipster Stats page. If you want to know whether the tips are worth following, that is where to look.
